LAYER AXIS LIMITED ("we", "us", or "our") operates the AssistantX mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

Definitions

For the purpose of this Privacy Policy:

Account means a unique account created for you to access our Service.

App means the AssistantX mobile application.

Company refers to LAYER AXIS LIMITED, 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.

Cookie means a small piece of data placed on your device by a website or application.

Device means any device that can access the Service such as a smartphone or a tablet computer.

Personal Data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

Service means the AssistantX mobile application.

Third-Party AI Provider means any third-party artificial intelligence model provider whose services are accessible through the App.

You means the individual accessing or using the Service.

Information We Collect

Account Information

We collect the information provided to us when you sign in to the App. We support sign-in via Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, and email magic links. We do not store your password. The information we receive depends on the sign-in method you choose, but typically includes a unique user identifier and, where made available by the provider, your name and email address. We do not collect profile photos.

Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with the App. This includes:

• Device identifiers and device type
• Operating system and version
• App usage data and crash reports
• Performance and diagnostics data

This information is collected through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google LLC. This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to improve the performance and reliability of the App.

Chat History and Conversations

Your conversations and chat history are stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit your conversations to our servers, and we do not store your chat history anywhere on our infrastructure.

When you use a Third-Party AI Provider through the App, your conversation messages are transmitted directly to that provider to generate a response. Please refer to the Third-Party AI Providers section below for full details.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App
• Manage your account and authenticate your identity
• Monitor and analyse usage to improve the App's performance and user experience
• Detect and address technical issues, crashes, and bugs
• Comply with legal obligations

Third-Party AI Providers

The App provides access to third-party AI language model providers including, but not limited to, Google (Gemini), OpenAI (GPT), Mistral, Anthropic (Claude), and others (collectively, "Third-Party AI Providers"). When you submit a message to an AI model through the App, that message is transmitted to the relevant Third-Party AI Provider to generate a response.

We request that Third-Party AI Providers do not retain your data beyond the scope of processing your request. However, each Third-Party AI Provider operates under its own privacy policies and data practices. They may retain data temporarily for security, safety, or compliance purposes in accordance with their own policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the relevant AI providers:

The App is not affiliated with or endorsed by any Third-Party AI Provider.

Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions to AssistantX are managed and processed exclusively through the Apple App Store and Google Play. All billing, payment, and subscription management is handled by Apple or Google under their respective terms of service. We do not receive, process, or store your payment card details or any other payment information.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, both provided by Google LLC, to collect anonymised usage data and crash reports. This data helps us understand how the App is used and identify issues to improve reliability.

Firebase Analytics may collect data such as session duration, device identifiers, and in-app events. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash logs and device state information at the time of a crash. This data is processed in accordance with Google's privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Authentication Providers: We share relevant sign-in data with Apple or Google solely for the purpose of authenticating your identity.
• Analytics Providers: We share device and usage data with Google (Firebase) for analytics and crash reporting purposes.
• Third-Party AI Providers: We transmit your chat messages to Third-Party AI Providers as described above to generate AI responses.
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information where required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide the App. If you delete your account, your account data will be permanently deleted, except where retention is required by applicable law.

Your chat history is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time from within the App.

Security

We are committed to protecting your information. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit, secure access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the one in which you reside. This includes transfers to the United States and other countries where our Service Providers and Third-Party AI Providers operate. Where required, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable law.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
